Dr. Crane has a degree from Duke University in art history and chemistry. She received her medical degree from The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed ophthalmology residency and retina fellowship training at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute where she had the honor of serving as chief resident.
Dr. Crane has published in several medical journals and presented research at multiple national conferences, including the Association of Research and Vision in Ophthalmology. She is a Sub-Investigator for multiple clinical trials in the practice dealing with diabetic and mascular degenerative disease. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology as well as the American Society of Retina Specialists. She was featured in Retina Today for her excellence as a retina specialist with a national reputation. Dr. Crane has clinics in Clearwater, Tampa, and Saint Petersburg.
We are proud to welcome Dr. Nicholas Zaunbrecher, M.D., to our practice. Dr. Zaunbrecher is currently completing a Refractive and Anterior Segment Fellowship at the Willis Knighton Eye Institute in Shreveport, Louisiana. His training emphasizes high-volume cataract surgery, premium intraocular lens technology, refractive procedures, and anterior segment reconstruction.
Dr. Zaunbrecher earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, where he also completed his ophthalmology residency and served as Chief Resident. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society for his academic excellence and compassionate care.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Biology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, graduating magna cum laude while competing as a Division I baseball athlete.
