Dr. Findlay has been practicing retina since 1997. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of South Florida in Chemistry. She completed her medical training and Ophthalmology Residency at USF and her Retina Fellowship with Retina-Vitreous Associates of Florida. She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Findlay is a Clinical Associate Professor in Ophthalmology at the University of South Florida and has supervised residents and fellows in surgical cases at James A. Haley VA Hospital for over 15 years. She continues to participate in clinical research and has given numerous patient education talks in diabetic retinopathy and age-related mascular degeneration. She has clinics in Tampa and Temple Terrance, and performs surgery at Florida Hospital in Tampa.
We are proud to welcome Dr. Nicholas Zaunbrecher, M.D., to our practice. Dr. Zaunbrecher is currently completing a Refractive and Anterior Segment Fellowship at the Willis Knighton Eye Institute in Shreveport, Louisiana. His training emphasizes high-volume cataract surgery, premium intraocular lens technology, refractive procedures, and anterior segment reconstruction.
Dr. Zaunbrecher earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, where he also completed his ophthalmology residency and served as Chief Resident. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society for his academic excellence and compassionate care.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Biology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, graduating magna cum laude while competing as a Division I baseball athlete.
